Ceramic Bridge
Maddy was missing a front tooth and wore a removable partial denture for many years. The tooth was replaced utilising a fully ceramic (porcelain) fixed bridge with the support of adjacent teeth.
This option requires two visits. The first visit is to prepare the teeth, make an impression (mould) and place a temporary Bridge. The final bridge is cemented in the second visit.
Since adjacent teeth have to be prepared to insert a bridge, more and more people are opting for implant-supported replacement of teeth.

Missing teeth can also be replaced using composite (white filling materials). This option requires a single visit and is built up with the support of adjacent teeth as well. A composite bridge is not as robust as a Ceramic or Metal bridge and may require more long-term maintenance.

Worn Teeth
Teeth beyond repair were removed, Worn out teeth were built up using composite filling materials and a partial denture made to replace the missing teeth.
Patient felt her front teeth were too short and did not show enough while smiling.
She wished to keep costs low. There was a crown on the upper right central tooth which we decided against removing to avoid complications. Since it is hard to bond (glue) filling materials to ceramic we used a wire supported by adjacent teeth as scaffolding to increase the length of the crown.

Composite filling material was used to increase the length of other teeth. The teeth on the partial denture were finally replaced to complete the ‘makeover’.
Patient had worn out all his teeth due to a nocturnal grinding habit.
The teeth were all built up using composite filling materials. After a certain trial period the front teeth will receive ceramic veneers and some posterior teeth will have crowns placed on them for long-term stability.
